Summary
Select GCC Batavia computer lab computers are equipped with the SoftLINK software, which provides instructors or presenters with a variety of control tools. The focus of this article is how the instructor may view a student's desktop computer on the instructor's computer.
Before You Start
What they need to know or have access to:
- Are you in a computer lab equipped with the SoftLINK software? Check the instructor's computer for the SoftLINK application
- Are you familiar with the SoftLINK software? You may choose to view recordings of two software training sessions provided by the software developer
Steps
1. Double-click the Softlink icon on the instructor's PC desktop to open the software

2. A pop-up window opens. Click the top option, full suite of features

3. Click the classroom number icon (this example here is room T204), then click OK

4. Thumbnail images of student computers will be displayed on the instructor's screen-- note that thumbnails are ordered according to PC placement in the room. Double-click on the target student's thumbnail to display their screen
