SoftLINK Software: How to Use it in Select Classrooms

Summary

SoftLINK software is deployed in select computer labs and provides an instructor with a variety of tools, such as sharing their content to all student computers, send messages to one or more students, and observe and control one or more student computers.  This article provides links to two how-to training videos.  Each video is 60-70 minutes in duration.

Before You Start

What they need to know or have access to:

  • Confirm that the SoftLINK software is installed on the computer lab instructor computer.
  • The two videos, links provided below, are of a two-part training provided by the software developer's support staff with a group of GCC faculty and staff. 
  • Each video is 60-70 minutes in duration, so consider a schedule to provide you time to view and like practice steps.
  • While you may view videos via your smart phone, we do not recommend it because its display may be too small for you to see software tool icons and text displayed by the trainer.
