Before You Start

To get started, ensure that you have the following:

  1. A valid NetID@genesee.edu email address: This is typically assigned to students, faculty, and staff at Genesee Community College.
  2. Access to a computer that is connected to the Internet.
  3. You will need access to GSI. These steps will help you log in. 

Steps 

Overview

This page presents a listing of all programs of the college. Prompts allow you to filter by program name, "Perkins" program and a current program indicator. A program is considered to be current until the discontinuance date is past.

Finding the Dashboard

In this document the “>” symbol is used when representing a series of clicks/selections needed when showing the pathway/navigation for dashboards.

To find the dashboard, logon to GSI > Dashboards > Institutional Research GCC User > Program.

Welcome/Landing Page

When you get to the Program Dashboard landing/Welcome page, you can either click on a link or the tab to get to the desired Program Information page.

Program Information Page

This page presents a listing of all programs of the college.

The page provides GCC, SUNY, and State Ed numbers, CIP and HEGIS Codes, Minimum Credits needed to complete, and Registration Dates for each program.

Prompts allow users to filter by program name, degree, "Perkins" affiliation, program status, concentration, and concentration status.

You are first presented with a program and a concentration table providing overall counts by status.

You are then presented with a program detail table listing program details for the selected program(s). Program details include degree, program code, program description/name, credits to complete, credits allowed for financial aid, gender, distance learning, status, start/registered/deactivated/discontinued dates, APES, CIP, HEGIS, SEDID, Director, selective enrollment, STEM, local GenEd waiver, cluster, etc.

Next is the concentration detail table listing concentration details for the selected program(s). Concentration details include degree, program code, program description/name, degree, program status, concentration code, concentration name, concentration status, concentration effective start/end term, concentration credits to complete, concentration percent online, and concentration lead.
