Summary

This article offers advice on software options for recording classes, meetings, lectures and demonstrations, available to GCC faculty and staff.

Before You Start

  • Do you have access to the software/application you plan to use to record?
  • Where will the recording be stored?
  • Determine the hardware you will use to record to audio and video (AV)-- e.g., video camera, external microphone, smart phone, laptop computer, desktop computer
  • Is the hardware/system appropriate for the AV content you plan to record?

Steps

  1. GCC faculty and staff may use any software/application to which they have access, including Panopto, Zoom, and Teams
  2. Note that videos created with Zoom or Teams automatically ingest to your Panopto library-- My Files, Meeting Recordings.  Access your Panopto library at https://genesee.hosted.panopto.com and enter your GCC login credentials, if prompted.
