Problem:
Ever since the Banner migration to ITEC, there has been a rise in reports from users reporting intermittent authentication failed errors requiring them close and re-open the browser to resolve.
Solution:
Enable pop-ups in the browser.
Steps for Edge
- Click the 3-dot menu in the upper right corner then select Settings
- In the Search Settings box, type pop-ups
- In the Search Results under Privacy, search, and services > Site permissions > All permissions, click Pop-ups and redirects
- Turn the Block (Recommended) switch off (should be white, not blue)
- Close and reopen all browser windows
Steps for Chrome
- Click the 3-dot menu in the upper right corner then select Settings
- Click the search icon, then type pop-ups in the search field
- Click Site Settings
- Click Pop-ups and redirects
- Click the radio button next to Sites can send pop-ups and use redirects
- Close and reopen all browser windows
