Summary
Banner, Self service Banner and Banner Associated Applications will be unavailable from 7:00am until 4:00pm on Wednesday December 24, 2025 for SICAS to perform necessary upgrades and patching. The college is closed, however Applications and Integrations staff along with members of ASDI will perform critical function testing immediately after SICAS completes the work and again on Friday December 26, 2025.
Why are we upgrading/updating/patching?
End‑of‑year Banner updates are driven by federal regulatory changes, security requirements, and operational continuity. Institutions must apply them to remain compliant and to ensure that mission‑critical processes (FAFSA, tax reporting, payroll, financial aid packaging, etc.) function correctly when the new year begins.
These upgrades also improve API functionality for integrations such as Canusia.
What's Happening
SICAS DBA's will install necessary upgrades and patches that have been previously installed in our PPRD environment.
Applications & Integrations staff along with members of ASDI will test critical functions immediately following the installation and again on Friday December 26, 2025.
