How do I reset my NetID password?

Summary

This article is to assist you in doing a self-reset of your password and or security questions for your GCC NetID.

Before You Start

To proceed you will need the following

• Access to a computer
• Access to an Internet connection
• Your NetID@Genesee.edu (faculty and staff this may be different than your email address)
• Know your current password or answers to password reset questions (based off your enrollment data)

Steps 

1. Log into https://pwreset.genesee.edu by choosing the Change Password / Log In option.

   

   If you’d like to change your password, you may do so on this screen:

3. Password Requirements are:
   1. Minimum length should be 14 characters
   2. Number of numerals to include 1
   3. Must not be a palindrome
   4. Must not contain any character more than twice constantly
   5. Must not have 5 consecutive characters from username
   6. Must not be a previously used password
