Accessing Library Articles and Databases

Summary

Accessing library articles and databases from off-campus is straightforward and can be done by logging into your myGCC account. Once logged in, you can seamlessly switch between databases without needing to log in again, though a repeat login is necessary if you disconnect from the internet.

Before You Start

Ensure you have your myGCC username and password ready. If you encounter any issues with your credentials, be prepared to reset your password or contact support for assistance.

Steps

Step 1: Navigate to the library's website and either select an article from the 'Find it Results' list or choose a database from the 'Database A-Z' list. Click on the full-text link or the database name to proceed.

Step 2: You will be prompted to sign in on the 'Library Resources' sign-in page. Enter your myGCC username and password, then click 'Submit' to access the database.

Note: After logging in, you can switch between databases without logging in again. However, reconnecting to the internet requires you to log in anew. If you experience connectivity issues or lose access privileges, close and reopen your browser to reconnect.
