How to Set "Pharos Secure Printer" as your default printer in Windows 11
Setting the default printer to “Pharos Secure Printer” in Windows 11 ensures that your computer automatically sends print jobs to the cloud, where you can sign in on any one of the new printers and receive your copies. This guide will help you configure the "Pharos Secure Printer" as your default printer on your PC.
Prerequisites
- Ensure the "Pharos Secure Printer" is installed on your system. If it's not installed:

- Confirm the your computer is online.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Open Settings
- Click on the Start menu or press the Windows key on your keyboard.
- Select Settings (gear icon) or press Windows + I to open the Settings app.
- Navigate to Printers & Scanners
- In the Settings app, click on Bluetooth & Devices.

- Select Printers & Scanners from the left-hand menu.

3. Locate the “Pharos Secure Printer”
- Under the Printers & Scanners section, look for "Pharos Secure Printer" in the list of available printers.
- If you don't see it listed, ensure the printer is installed and connected. (if you are not seeing “Pharos Secure Printer” – please contact IT User Services)

4. Set as Default
- Click on "Pharos Secure Printer" to expand its options.
- Click Set as Default.
- A green checkmark or confirmation message will indicate that "Pharos Secure Printer" is now your default printer.

- Disable Windows Automatic Printer Management:
- Windows 11 can automatically change the default printer based on your recent use. To disable this feature:
