Schedule T204, T205, T206 Computer Labs

Summary

In this tutorial, you'll learn how to schedule computer classrooms T204, T205, or T206 using Outlook 365 through your college's web portal at https://mygcc.genesee.edu. You will need to have your NetID@genesee.edu and your password ready. Scheduling will require approval and you'll receive an email response once your request has been reviewed.

Before You Start

You'll need the following:

  • Your NetID@genesee.edu
  • Your Password
  • Access to the Internet
  • The specific date and time you want to reserve the classroom

Steps 

  1. Access the college web portal: Go to https://mygcc.genesee.edu on your preferred web browser.
  2. Sign in: Enter your NetID@genesee.edu in the field asking for your username or email and enter your password in the password field. Click on 'Sign in' or press Enter.
  3. Open Outlook 365: Located in the "Waffle Icon" or 9-Dot Menu in the upper left-hand corner. Click on the Outlook 365 icon to open it.
  4. Navigate to the Calendar: Once you are in Outlook 365, look for the Calendar icon from the left-hand column.
  5. Create a new event: On the Calendar page, click on 'New Event' (usually at the top left). This will open up a new event creation form.
  6. Fill in the event details:
    • In the 'Title' field, write a clear and concise title. It could be something like "Reserving Classroom T204" or "Computer Class in T205", etc.
    • Choose the start and end time for the event in the respective fields. Reoccurring events are allowed.
    • In the 'Location' field, type in the specific classroom you want to book: "T204", "T205", or "T206".

  7. Add a description: Add a brief description of the event in the provided 'Description' field. This could include the purpose of the event, what will be happening, etc.
  8. Save the event: Once you've filled in all the required information, click on 'Save' or 'Send' to submit the event.

Approval

  • Once your scheduling request has been submitted, it will be reviewed for approval. You will receive an email response notifying you whether your request has been approved or denied. This process can take up to 3 business days.
